The EMK-1 is a full featured, reliable cinema automation, especially useful when many involved program steps are required.

• The EMK-1 controls all the projector functions, the sound format and level, the lighting and curtains and other auditorium and stage functions.

Steps are executed when metal cues placed on the film are read by sensors on the projectors. Steps can also be executed after time delays specified in steps themselves.

Programs in the EMK-1 are represented by horizontal lines and vertical columns of LEDs so that the whole program can be reviewed at one time. Each column represents a particular function, and each line represents a sequential action. Every time a cue is read the next line is executed; all that line's selected functions are initiated.

Functions performed in steps can involve internal time delays.

A safety feature is provided to shut down the equipment if a film break or xenon failure is detected. The projector and xenon lamp will be turned off, the auditorium lights turned on and the curtain closed.

The EMK-1 electronic programming unit is available for installation directly into the FP-30 and FP-50 projectors, or for 19" rack mounting.

Status panels

The SP6 (up to 6 theatres) and SP10 (up to 10 theatres) status

Panels give information about the current program step and give an audible warning signal in the case of a failure.

The status panels can be combined to provide a functional and inexpensive display system for any number of screens.
