Important note on support of older Kinoton mechanical 16mm film projectors!

Support of older film projectors for 16mm:

Kinoton America and all preceding distributors of Kinoton equipment for North America support older equipment on a very comprehensive base.

However, it should be noted that for film projectors FP16, FP18, FP26, FP28, FP38 (manufactured approximately before the Fall of 1992), important wear parts are no longer available. This applies especially to the film skate, part number 5322 463 30011, where our stock and the stock of Kinoton GmbH is entirely depleted.

Due to the fact that this was a plastic molded part which had been manufactured by Philips and because new sales will be limited, a new production is no longer possible.

Also for later 16mm D-Type projectors with mechanical intermittents, FP18D and FP38D, parts availability has become very limited for some wear items.

As a consequence, we urgently suggest that in case a relocation or reinstallation of these older Kinoton or Philips/Norelco 16mm-projectors is intended, it should be taken into consideration that the unavailability of certain parts might limit the useful life time substantially.
